    Lab Animal Technician

    Lab animal technicians are tasked with caring for animals used for research. This includes basic treatments such as giving food animals and water, cleaning and removing cages, and other work such as recording information, monitoring behavior, taking samples, writing reports, and maintaining databases. 

    Farriers

    Farrier provides expertise in horse foot care and is responsible for shoes and caring for their nails. In addition to installing horseshoes, they take care, trim, and clean horse nails. Their work may include corrective pruning, changing the corners of the limbs to promote proper growth, evaluating the ongoing force and nail balance, and more. Farriers also work with veterinarians to care for horses with foot problems and develop special shoes or appropriate prosthetics.

    Animal pharmaceutical sales

    Veterinary pharmaceutical sales are fields that combine agricultural businesses and sales with animal health. These professionals are experienced in anatomy, biology, pharmacology, marketing, and sales and usually have a background in animal science, biology, or related subjects. Their expertise in pharmacy for animals allows them to succeed in the animal health industry, where they deal with veterinarians and agricultural businesses, including animal husbandry. In addition to selling products, they can provide training on the use of different products.

    Wildlife rehabilitation

    Different animals are often injured and cannot care for themselves. Rehabilitation of wildlife treats these animals and releases them back to the wild when they fully heal. Because they treat animal injuries, they can work with veterinarians in the event of a severe injury and with nutritionists to meet the nutritional needs of different species. In addition to catching animals humanely, they feed animals, clean their cages, and help them on the path to recovery.

    Animal technician

    This animal health professional helps veterinarians with medical procedures. In addition to helping with physical examination and helping operations, veterinary technicians can run laboratory tests, clean equipment, take and process X-rays, fill in recipes, and hold animals during inspection and procedures. They can also provide vaccines, medicines, and other treatments prescribed by veterinarians.
