How you feel about the Ather 450x review probably depends on what you’re looking for in an electric scooter. If your main concern is price, the Ather 450x might be exactly what you want; in that case, I highly recommend the Ather 450x as one of the most affordable options on the market right now.
Ather 450x
I’ve been using the Ather 450x for about six months now and I have to say that I’m pretty impressed. It’s been a reliable bike and has held up well to my daily commute. The battery life is fantastic, I can usually get about 60-70 miles on a single charge.
However, there are some downsides. The bike is quite heavy, at nearly 100 pounds it’s not easy to move around. Also, the motor is quite loud, so if you’re looking for a stealthy ebike this isn’t the one for you. Overall, I’m happy with the Ather 450x and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and powerful electric bike. The weight is really its only downside. But other than that, I’d definitely recommend the Ather 450x.
Ather 450x price
The Ather 450x is a highly anticipated electric scooter from India. It was released in early 2019 and has been making waves in the e-scooter world ever since. Ather 450x Price is Rs. 1,18,000/-
I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of these bad boys and have been riding it for the past few months. Here’s my long term review of the Ather 450x.
First things first, this thing looks freaking cool. With its black paint job, matte finish wheels, and green light up indicator panel you know this thing means business. What also caught my eye about the Ather 450x is that it can actually fold up into itself to be more easily stored away or transported when not in use.
Ather 450x range
After nearly a year of using the Ather 450x, I can say that it’s been a mostly positive experience. The good outweighs the bad, but there are still some areas that could be improved. Here’s my review of the Ather 450x after long-term use.
The best thing about this scooter is how easy it is to use. As soon as you plug in the battery (a relatively quick process), the scooter powers on and starts charging automatically, so all you have to do is wait for it to reach 100%. Once your battery has charged enough, you just hop on and go. It’s honestly more intuitive than most other electric vehicles I’ve used. The Ather 450x Electric scooter take upto 5 hours to full charge and gives your 85km /Full Charge.
It also feels sturdy because of its aluminum frame and large wheels; I feel safe when riding on this scooter around uneven terrain or even through small puddles at full speed without fear of being thrown off or feeling unsafe.

Others have noted that it is pricey for an electric scooter, especially when compared to other high-end models like Segway Ninebot One E+ or Zero One S1 Pro. Other reviews have criticized the lack of suspension on bumpy roads as well as uncomfortable riding position due to the seat being too low.
The most common complaints about this product are its price and discomfort on bumpy roads.
About Ather Energy Company
Founded in 2013, Ather Energy is an Indian electric vehicle company headquartered in Bangalore. The company’s goal is to produce electric vehicles that are not only environmentally friendly but also stylish and affordable. Ather currently offers two scooter models, the 450X and the 340. To date, the company has sold over 10,000 units of its vehicles.
The negatives include a low battery life which requires constant charging; the long charging time; the lack of adequate places to charge their vehicles; and overheating which is said to be due to poor quality batteries.
This review would recommend that you take these into consideration before making your purchase decision, as they may or may not have been resolved at this point in time. The positives include the sleek design, comfortable seats, beautiful LED lights, and Bluetooth speakers.
These features make it enjoyable for riders who want to look cool while zipping around town. Additionally, the acceleration is quick and smooth which makes it a blast to ride. Furthermore, riders can feel safe because Ather Scooters have self-balancing systems (which detect sudden changes in speed) and smart headlights (which turn on automatically).
Another advantage is that it does not require any petrol-based fuels so there will never be issues with running out of gas during a busy day of errands. There is also no need for engine oil since there are no moving parts under the hood!
The Good
I’ve been using the Ather 450x for almost a year now and I’m very happy with it. It’s been a great bike for commuting and running errands around town. It’s been extremely reliable and has never given me any problems.
The battery life is amazing, I can usually get about 60-70 miles on a single charge. Recharging is also very quick, I can get from 0 to 100% in about 2 hours. The riding experience is really great, the bike is very comfortable and smooth to ride.
Overall, I’m extremely happy with the Ather 450x and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an electric bike.
The Bad
I bought the Ather 450x scooter a little over a year ago and have had nothing but problems with it. In the last year, I’ve had to replace the battery twice, the controller once, and the motor once. And that’s just for starters.
The biggest problem, however, has been with the software. Twice now, the software has completely bricked my scooter, leaving me stranded on the side of the road. The first time it happened, I was able to get a replacement scooter from Ather, but the second time they weren’t so generous.
The Ugly
The Ather 450x is a great electric scooter…most of the time. However, there are some drawbacks that should be considered before purchasing one.
Firstly, the range is not as advertised. Secondly, the app is often buggy and unreliable. Thirdly, the scooter itself is quite heavy and difficult to carry. Fourthly, the price is quite high compared to other electric scooters on the market.
Fifthly, customer service can be quite unresponsive. Sixthly, there have been reports of the brakes failing. Seventhly, the motor tends to overheat after extended use.
Ather Energy Scooters List
The Ather 450x is a scooter that was released in 2019. It is a long-term review of the scooter after using it for over a year.
I have had the Ather 450x for over a year now and I have to say that I am very impressed with it. It is a great scooter for commuting around town. It is fast, efficient, and relatively easy to ride. However, there are some downsides to the Ather 450x that I will discuss in this review.
First, let’s start with the good. The Ather 450x is a great scooter for commuting. It has a top speed of 30 mph and can travel up to 60 miles on a single charge.
Ather 450X Gen 3 Mileage
I’ve been using the Ather 450X for a little over two months now, and in that time I’ve put just over 2,000 miles on it. Overall, I’ve been pretty happy with the bike.
It’s comfortable, relatively quiet, and has plenty of power. I’ve also been impressed with the battery life; I’ve been able to get up to 85 Km on Full Charge. In addition, while my experience with charging stations hasn’t been perfect, they have worked consistently enough that I never feel like I’m stranded without a way to recharge my battery. My only complaint is more aesthetic than anything else: the tires make this weird sound when they’re spinning at low speeds due to the gearing system. Other than that though, this bike has served me well so far!
Ather 450x Pros
- The Ather 450x is one of the most technologically advanced electric scooters on the market. It has a top speed of 80 km/h and a range of 100 km.
- It comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display that shows you all the information you need while riding, including your current speed, remaining battery life, and more.
- The Ather 450x also has a phone app that allows you to track your rides, see stats about your performance, and even find nearby charging points.
- One of the best features of the Ather 450x is its fast charging capabilities.
It can charge from 0 to 80% in just 1 hour, which is perfect for people who need to get back on the road quickly. Another nice feature is the front wheel suspension system, which makes it easier to ride through bumps or over cracks without damaging the wheel or making an unpleasant sound.
Ather 450x Electric Scooter Cons
-The Ather 450x electric scooter is expensive. It costs around Rs 1.5 lakh on-road in Bangalore, which is a lot of money for a two-wheeler.
- You cannot switch out batteries once they’ve been drained, so you will have to wait until they’re fully charged before you can use them again.
- Although it comes with a backup battery when purchased new, this only provides enough power for 15 minutes of riding time if the main battery runs out (although this is more than enough time to get home)..
-The range of the Ather 450x is also not very impressive. In real-world conditions, it can do around 40-50 km on a full charge. This range is fine if you’re using it for commuting within the city. But if you’re looking to use it for long distance travel, then you might be disappointed.
-The Ather 450x also takes a long time to charge. It needs about 5 hours to fully charge from empty and this may be inconvenient for those who want to keep it running all day.
-Some customers have complained that their unit has developed problems with its motor after just 6 months of use or less. However, this problem is generally covered by warranty so there shouldn’t be too much concern.
-The lack of proper bike lanes in most Indian cities means that the Ather 450x will have trouble with rough roads that are not flat like asphalt roads.
Ather 450x Final Verdict
We’ve been using the Ather 450x for almost a year now and we wanted to share our thoughts on it. Overall, we think it’s a great scooter. It’s comfortable, stylish, and relatively affordable. However, there are some downsides. For one, it’s not as powerful as some of the other scooters on the market. Additionally, the range isn’t great if you’re planning on using it for long distance rides. Despite these drawbacks, we still think the Ather 450x is a great option for those looking for an entry-level scooter.
