Cape air baggage fees allow each passenger to bring one carry-on bag with maximum dimensions of 9 inches x 17 inches x 12 inches, and one personal item that must fit under the seat in front of you. Your personal item can be either a small purse or briefcase or laptop computer case (up to 17 x 12 x 10). Here are some tips on how to save more with Fly Cape Air baggage policy!

    Understanding the Cape air luggage

To start with, let’s take a look at how Cape Air Customer Service works. The carrier doesn’t make you pay for anything that can fit under your seat—and it doesn’t count as a carry-on either. It also doesn’t impose strict limits on either of these items, meaning you don’t have to check your carry-on at all if you don’t want to. For an additional fee, though, you can check up to three bags instead of just one; and each bag checked saves you $25 off your Cape Air Tickets price.

Tips on saving money with Cape Air baggage fees

Cape Flying? That’s great! Why not take full advantage of their relatively-Cape Air low baggage fees and pack a few less things in your suitcase? After all, if you pay by weight, there’s no sense bringing an extra 30 pounds of stuff. Use these tips on how to save money with baggage fees when flying with Cape Cod Flights.

    Why are these tips helpful?

Cape Air Plane makes their baggage policy clear, but they don’t provide tips on how passengers can get more out of it. It’s a shame because those little bits of space add up quickly and help people save money. I’m going to show you some easy ways to hack Cape air flight reservations so that you can fly with less weight, but end up getting more in return. (For example, did you know that if you bring two 50 lb bags instead of one 100 lb bag, you’ll pay half as much for them both?)

Get your ticket from a travel agent

It’s not just Cape Air Booking, but most airlines charge a fee for checking in your bag—typically $25 for a Cape Air checked bag, and as much as $150 for a second one. A pretty steep charge if you’re traveling light. So if you have to check luggage, try going through an agency like Travelocity or Expedia; they’ll often offer discounts that allow you to avoid baggage fees altogether (but note that those savings are likely reflected in lower ticket prices). If all else fails, find out what kind of deals and perks your airline offers its customers; see if you can become elite via a loyalty program by booking direct.

    What could go wrong?

Contact Cape Air has one of the most detailed baggage policies in its industry. You can check up to two bags, each with a maximum weight of 50 pounds and dimension of 42 x 25 x 10. The airline charges $20 for each bag checked. If you’re checking more than two bags, you’ll pay $20 for each additional bag (but not more than four bags per ticket) up to 50 pounds, $100 per additional checked bag over 50 pounds, and $75 per pet.

The limitations of Cape Air luggage weight allowance

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) imposes strict rules about weight and size for bags brought on board airplanes. Each airline has its own baggage policy, but most have a similar limitation of 50 pounds per bag or 100 pounds per person. In addition, airlines charge fees based on how many bags you bring, how big they are and whether they fit within their allowances. So while bringing two carry-on suitcases is a smart way to pack clothes and toiletries for a long trip, it can also add up in additional baggage fees if your bags exceed weight limits. Book Cape Air guidelines differ slightly from other airlines’ policies because it doesn’t charge fees for excess weight or oversize luggage. If you plan carefully before your flight, you can save by packing efficiently.

Is it worth paying for the extra Cape Air weight allowance?

If you’re traveling a short distance, like from Boston to Nantucket or Fort Lauderdale, paying for extra baggage allowance might not be worth it; however, if you’re traveling longer distances, like from Boston to LA, then it is definitely worth paying for. For example, while Cape Air charges $5.00 each way for one additional piece of luggage weighing 25 pounds, JetBlue charges $15.00 each way per bag and United Airlines charges $25.00 each way per bag! This can add up very quickly when flying cross-country—and if you have more than one checked bag going out on your return flight(s), it really adds up quickly!

    Does it apply to everyone?

If you’re not a part of Cape air book a flight frequent flyer program, make sure you sign up for it. It’s totally free and will save you money on all your flights. If you don’t belong to any other frequent flyer programs, however, make sure you put as many miles on Cape air phone number as possible—it gives at least 1 mile per dollar spent on every flight. Also sign up for their email list so they can send out special discounts and promotions! Once that’s done, take a look at their baggage policy. They charge $25 per checked bag if booked in advance and $35 per checked bag if booked at Check-in Cape Air.
