Lip glosses are quick simple and gorgeous however, it can be messy and smeary. However, there are easy ways to get rid of these issues and still be able to enjoy your lip gloss.

    First Exfoliate

If you don’t cleanse first you’ll end up with dry and flaky surface instead of having a soft surface for your skin to stick to. Our preferred (and the most simple!) method to cleanse lips is using an instrument like a toothbrush.

Use a toothbrush that is wet and gently massage it across your lips in an upward motion. This should be enough to remove the dead skin , but not be too rough.

    Apply Foundation Underneath

It may sound odd to apply foundation on the lips but this will add extra sturdiness to your gloss. Apply a thin layer of foundation or concealer over your lips, apply gloss on top, and you’re done! A lip gloss lasting for many hours.

    Use the lipstick that matches.

The use of a lipstick that matches that is matte, particularly matte lipsticks, can make your gloss last longer. It will stick to the gloss and, as a plus, when the gloss has worn off there is still the color of the lipstick.

    Try Lip Primer

You apply primer to your eyes and face Why not apply it to your lips? There are special primers designed for lips, however you should make sure it’s the one you purchase.

A good primer gives that lip gloss something stick to and will keep it shining throughout the day.

    Beat Stickiness

If the gloss you are using is thick or sticky If it is clumpy or sticky, try placing an ice cube across the lips after applying. It softens the gloss and helps to remove the goops.

Another quick fix is to sprinkle translucent powder for the face over the top of the face powder – but however, not too much or it’ll clump.

Our most-loved tip for beating sticky gloss? Pick a higher-quality brand! A good lip gloss that is of high quality is less likely to cause irritation and instead will leave your lips soft, smooth and shiny.

Lip gloss doesn’t need to be removed from your collection. By following these simple tips to reduce stickiness while keeping your lips glowing the lip gloss can become an enjoyable part in your routine makeup.
