The famous cultural event held here is the Summer Festival.

    2. The Mall Road:

    With a plenitude of cafes, restaurants, showrooms, departmental stores, and many more this place immerses you with the spirit of shopping. The mall road is a popular place to hang out and explore the city’s beauty. This place offers impressive handicrafts and woollen clothes.     3. Jakhoo Hill and Temple:

    Covered with alpine trees, Jakhoo Hill is the peak point of Shimla and offers spectacular views of the snow-covered Shivalik Ranges as well as the sister town of Sanjauli. It is situated at a height of 8000 ft. above sea level. Shrouded in myths and mysteries, it captivates devotees and tourists alike. The local legends believe that the temple stands at the spot where Lord Hanuman had rested during his journey to bring the Sanjeevani Booti for Lakshman’s revival during the war of Lanka.

    4. Kalka-Shimla Railway:

    Set your enthusiasm to embrace the beautiful journey along a 2ft 6in narrow-gauge railway in North India which proceeds along a mostly mountainous route from Kalka to Shimla. On the way, it stops at 18 stations. The journey will take you through 864 bridges, 919 curves and 102 tunnels. The train ride doesn’t count as a ‘place’ to visit but missing the ride means missing the icing on the cake, don’t miss the splendid sights that Shimla has to offer. There are several trains available for this beautiful excursion.

    One of the notable landmarks in Shimla, Christ Church is the 2nd largest church in northern India which showcases its architectural beauty. The most fascinating part of this church is its five windows that attract tourists from all over the world.     Johnnie’s Wax Museum, also known as the Madame Tussauds Museum of Shimla, is home to numerous wax replicas of well-known historical and fictitious figures. In addition to monuments of Michael Jackson and Mahatma Gandhi, you can also witness James Bond, Harry Potter, and even the Iron Man in this location. Among others, the museum features monuments of Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and Steve Jobs.     1. Himalayan Bird Park

    You may find a modest collection of exotic birds you’ll adore at the Himalayan Bird Park, which is directly across from the Viceregal Lodge.

    1. Viceregal Lodge

    Viceroys who oversaw the nation from 1888 to 1946 all spent the sweltering Indian summers here in the resort. This famous building is one of Shimla’s must-see attractions and is a stately building surrounded by well-kept grounds. This is situated at the city’s second-highest point.

    Timings: Tuesday through Sunday, 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM

    About 5 miles separate the Shimla Ridge from the Summer Hill, a Shimla neighbourhood.
